12 Days of Christmas

One thing bayleaf inarguably does best is search the world for the highest quality food and drink for you to enjoy, and none of the nonsense of this year was going stop us from doing that! The last many months have been more than a little bit different – life as we knew it was brought to a screeching halt, chaos ensued, and normal skipped town – so our traditional Twelve Days Gift Guide had to be a little bit different this year too.

Since traveling has been off the table (indeed venturing out, in general, has not been a safe option for many) in just forever, we decided to try even harder to bring the tastes of world to you – one way or another! Come into the store (a few at a time or make a personal shopping appointment), pull up to the curb, order delivery, or have your selections shipped. One way or another, we will make sure you and your loved ones can enjoy a trip around the globe via the great cheeses, wines, and other goodies and gifts we have stocked in our Whidbey Island shop.
Before we head off on our adventure, it would first be prudent to pack a taste of home-sweet-home. World-renowned Penn Cove smoked mussels and Good Food Award-winning Island Trollers line caught albacore are two gifts that are sure to please – and a cinch to ship. House made Salty Blonds have a three-month shelf life – though they never ever last that long! Small batch San Juan Island Sea Salt blends (Have you tried Dill Pickle yet?!) are perfect for the discerning type, and Primal Island grain-free granola is our go-to for the health nut in your life. We have Mishal Rowley handsewn designs, Hannah Dunn fine art, and Turnco Wood Goods. In fact, we have so many popular island-made items that we have a gift basket
dedicated to them!

Join us for a special seated tasting on Thursday, May 15 from 5–7 PM with Clarke Boehling of Rosenthal Wine Merchant While visiting trade accounts in the area, Clarke has carved out time to lead this intimate tasting—and we’re thrilled to host him. This is a rare chance to explore the Rosenthal portfolio through the eyes (and palate) of someone who knows it inside and out. Tickets here .
