Day 5 | 12 Days of Christmas | Olive Oil and Ritrovo Selections Aged Balsamic Vinegar

a bottle of olive oil next to a bottle of balsamic vinegar
bayleaf Signature Olive Oil and Ritrovo Selections Aged Balsamic Vinegar is a perfect pair of pantry provisions. Purchase a set for your favorite home chef or treat yourself. (Note that they are tucked into two slots of a six-slot bayleaf wine bag which leaves four slots for some fine Italian wine. Maybe a Nebbiolo? A Barbera? Some Prosecco, perhaps?)

bayleaf Signature Olive Oil, with its grassy-fruity aroma and balanced fruit-herb flavor, is a prized powerhouse no kitchen should be without. This single source olive oil is produced and packaged by the Trampetti farm in Umbria, one of Italy's most prestigious olive oil regions. It is flavorsome and versatile enough for dipping, drizzling, baking, and blending which is why we proudly profess it worthy of carrying the bayleaf name. In addition to being delicious, olive oil is rich in antioxidants (fight the free radicals!) and contains loads of healthy monounsaturated fats (here’s to your heart!).

Ritrovo Selections Aged Balsamic Vinegar is the other half of this dynamic duo. Dense and delightful, it is aged in French Allier oak barrels for six years and then expertly reduced. The finished product has the flavor profile of a traditional 25-year aged balsamic (without the wait). Lambrusco and Trebbiano grapes give this vinegar a deep, rich flavor with a clean, delicate finish that is pure perfection on a caprese salad, fresh buratta, grilled chicken breasts, roasted veggies, strawberries, and so much more.
